Pelion Makrinitsa
Makrinitsa (Greek: Μακρινίτσα), nicknamed “balcony of Mt. Pelion,” is a village and a former community in Magnesia, Thessaly, Greece. A characteristic of this green landscape, the mansion houses, the old tanneries, the churches of the 17th and 18th centuries, the three-storeyed towers, the old arched bridges and the squares. It is one of the most popular destinations of western Pelion along with Portaria. The houses, with their pelion architecture, are built on the side of the centaurs mountain and their balconies can award you with a panoramic view to the Pagasetic Gulf and the city of Volos.
